Library Visits

I love to read. I read anything I can find, from Science Fiction novels, to Agatha Christie mysteries. Due to this, the library was a place I’d visit often. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and I could find pretty much any book i wanted. However, due to poor management, the library was closed, and I’ve not heard of plans to open another one.

There was nothing I could do to stop this, and I was left with finding a new peaceful place in which to do my reading. The local park seemed appropriate, and I found a nice little place away from the regular paths, and no people seem to come by here. I was very happy with my find, and decided to come back the next day, with a good book, to see how it works out.

When I came back I found a lot of kids playing around my new found spot. Of course reading was out of the question in these conditions, but I liked the spot very much and didn’t want to look for another one. I began searching for something that would allow me to read even with the noise around me.

I opted for the purchase of an mp3 player, with some noise isolating headphones, since I’m quite the music lover as well. I decided to go for theĀ sansa e280, which seemed perfect for the classical music I usually listen to. I has been one of the most inspired purchases, and it allows me to read in peace and also listen to Mozart. What more could I ask for?

I’ve grown so attached to it that I started leaving my books at home, when going to my “reading” place. I’ve gooten really used to just sitting there looking at the children and listening to music. I would have never thought it possible: me, without my books?
